Houston Premium Outlets is an open-air designer outlet center in Cypress, on US 290 about 30 miles northwest of downtown Houston. Stores line outdoor walkways in a Southwestern-style setting, so dress for the weather. Houston Premium Outlets is our first stop when we want luxury-adjacent brands at outlet prices: Coach, Tory Burch, Burberry, Polo Ralph Lauren and Kate Spade are the heavy hitters here. The open-air layout means it’s a stroll, not an indoor crawl, so bring sun protection from May through September and aim for a morning visit on summer Saturdays. Choosing between outlets? Come here for the bigger luxury brand mix, or head south to Tanger Outlets Texas City for stronger athletic and footwear deals.

The center covers about 541,000 square feet. Outlet prices are usually below regular retail, with the biggest savings during holiday and seasonal sales.

Hours

The outlets are open seven days a week, with longer hours on Friday and Saturday and shorter hours on Sunday. Extended holiday hours are usually announced in November.

Directions & Location

The center is on US 290 in Cypress, about 30 miles northwest of downtown Houston (allow 35–45 minutes). Take the Fairfield Place Drive exit off US 290.

Parking

Free parking surrounds the center, so park on the side of the stores you want first, and don’t leave shopping bags visible in the car. The lots fill up on holiday weekends such as Memorial Day and Black Friday.

Mall Services

The official center map shows restrooms, the food court and guest services. During the holiday season the center usually hosts Santa photos; dates are posted on the official site.

Environment

The area around the outlets is mostly suburban. Golfers have several courses within 20–30 minutes, including BlackHorse Golf Club and Cypress Lakes. For a different kind of shopping, Willowbrook Mall is about 20 minutes east and Katy Mills about 30 minutes south.
