Katy Mills Mall is a modern and fresh Simon mall designed for outlet shopping with plenty of popular outlet stores and one of the most colorful and best malls in Houston. Katy Mills has a well-grounded and stable atmosphere with over 175 stores and a unique and avant-garde style of design, invoking much of its theme from the sea. It encourages a casual and fun atmosphere for all of its shoppers and is family friendly, with a children’s playing ground and an AMC theatre nearby. The Katy Mall, built in 1999, had undergone development agreements in 2015 to incorporate more places to live, shop, and relax, including a conference center and boardwalk. Certain features are still being implemented, such as the new homes, but development has been quick, and the area is expected to expand even more in the near future.
