Rice Village stores offer a wide variety of places to choose from when there’s a need for new merchandise. If you’re looking to buy new clothes, the mall offers a wide selection of stores that sell modern and classic styles. From Ann Taylor, to Urban Outfitters and Banana Republic, Rice Village District contains plenty of popular stores within walking distance. The mall also contains plenty of accessory stores to complement an outfit, like Sunglass Hut for brand name sunglasses, and Everything but Water for bathing suits and accessories. Victoria’s Secret sells a wide array of perfume and lingerie, and Soma offers lingerie for plus sizes, in addition to loungewear and sport apparel. Rice Village District also contains many gift and furnishing stores such as Le Creuset for kitchen cookware.

Rice Village District is located on Kirby and University Boulevard in Houston, Texas. The Rice Village area offers plenty of places to park, including free garage parking, and street level parking located directly out front from the mall.
Rice Village District offers a lot to the public, and has plenty of events outside of shopping, including interactive activities for families and individuals alike. During busy seasons, such as holidays, the mall offers free Santa Claus pictures for the family (pets included), as well as arts and crafts. The mall also encourages a lot of local acts to come out and be supported by the public, like live art shows and music, as well.
Rice Village Restaurants
After a long day of shopping, it’s nice to be able to sit back and relax, enjoy your meal and reminisce about your purchases. There are many Rice Village restaurants to choose from and there’s lots of different styles of food for a diverse amount of shopping experience. Cafes for coffee and pastries are available, such as Starbucks, and original grocery-style places to eat like D’Amico’s Italian Market Café, which doubles as a to-go restaurant and a small shopping center. Jason’s Deli emphasizes health-conscious food and offers catering. For later hours of the day, 55 Restaurant and Bar describes itself as a contemporary place to eat, with late hours.
Just outside of the mall contains plenty of other places to stop by and try. Options for sweets and chocolate include Celebrity Cupcakes, Baskin-Robbins, and The Chocolate Bar, that include a lot of different types of both homemade and classic sweets to choose from. Coco Crepes, Waffles & Coffee doubles as a café and a shop to try French cuisine. The areas close to the mall also contain a few bars, including The Ginger Man Houston and Little Woodrow’s, selling draft beers and local cuisine.
Around the Mall
Rice Village District is surrounded by places to shop. A lot of the surrounding activities are well within walking distance of the mall, so driving isn’t necessary. Furthermore, Houston Zoo is just down University Boulevard, which has plenty of exhibits and educational opportunities on wildlife. The area also contains a museum of natural science, as well as fine arts, a Holocaust museum dating back to 1996, and a children’s museum located on the grounds near the zoo. The Rice Village area offers a lot to just about everyone interested in a day out in Houston.
