Rice Village is an open-air shopping and dining district between Rice University and West University Place, about 5 miles southwest of downtown Houston. Founded in the 1930s, it spreads over several walkable blocks around University Boulevard, Kirby Drive and Morningside Drive, with national brands such as West Elm, Sephora, lululemon and Warby Parker next to local boutiques and restaurants. Directions & Location
From downtown, take I-69/US-59 south, exit at Kirby Drive and head south on Kirby to University Boulevard, about 15 minutes outside rush hour. The district spreads over several walkable blocks around University Boulevard and Morningside Drive.
